Registered Nurse - Cardiac and Stroke Unit

Schedule

Night shifts: 3x12-hour schedule from 18:45 to 07:15. Weekend work required on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our busy cardiac and stroke unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telemetry, IV starts, and care for pre and post-procedure cardiac patients. This role involves managing a dynamic patient load and requires expertise in cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Caring for cardiac and stroke patients, including those receiving pre/post-operative care for pacemaker implantation and cardiac catheterization.
• Monitoring stable patients on telemetry, managing multiple cardiac drips.
• Collaborating with the medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assisting with admissions and discharges, supported by a team lead.
• Responding to emergencies and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Experience with telemetry and managing cardiac patients strongly preferred.
• Must hold current ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications.
• State license as a Registered Nurse (NC or Compact license acceptable).
