Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Schedule

This position requires 12-hour night shifts with a minimum of every other weekend, adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs. Holidays are as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing care to a diverse patient population, including neonates and pediatrics, with significant involvement in the NICU/PICU settings. The therapist will work across various floors including ICU and ED.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications.
• Evaluate patient respiratory status and collaborate with the health care team.
• Document all care provided and maintain accurate medical records.
• Respond to emergencies and provide life support as needed.
• Educate patients and their families about respiratory care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RRT certification.
• AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience is required.
• Experience with EPIC system within the last 2 years is mandatory.
• Strong documentation of specialties and employment history is essential.
• Reliable transportation is needed as public transportation is not accessible.
