Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift, 4x12 Schedule

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. This role emphasizes patient and employee safety, adheres to facility guidelines, and engages in collaborative practice across the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, developing individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals in collaboration with patients and families.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and ensure effective patient education.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding patient status to other care providers.
• Oversee and train ancillary nursing staff, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Promote personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies.
• Actively engage in team-building activities to foster a positive work environment.
• Maintain open communication with supervisors regarding supplies and clinical training needs.
• Assume charge responsibility as requested after orientation.
• Pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH only).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.

Schedule

This is a 36 or 48 hour work option, offering flexibility for day shifts in a 4x12 hour schedule.
