Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Cardiovascular Progressive Care (CVPC) unit. The primary patient population includes those undergoing cardiovascular and vascular surgeries, including but not limited to open heart surgery, thoracic lung procedures, and vascular interventions.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients recovering from cardiovascular and vascular surgical procedures.
• Provide high-quality care to overflow medical cardiology patients with various cardiovascular conditions.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and manage continuous cardiac monitoring.
• Administer medications and IV management including epidurals and cardiac drips.
• Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Stepdown and telemetry experience is essential.
• Preferred experience in cardiovascular surgery nursing.
