Registered Nurse - Inpatient Mental Health

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days, 3 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for adults and seniors with mental health and behavioral disorders, including substance abuse and addictions. Responsibilities will include overseeing patient care, administering medications, and participating in group therapy sessions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care to patients in an inpatient setting
• Administer medication and monitor patient response
• Participate in treatment planning and conducting group therapy
• Ensure compliance with safety and care standards
• Utilize de-escalation techniques as necessary

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of admissions experience preferred
• Clear and active nursing license in the state
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire)
• First aid certification may be required based on state or facility
