Labor Delivery Nurse - Nights

This is a 13-week contract position. Shifts are from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with weekend requirements every other week.

Job Description

The Labor Delivery Nurse provides essential care for patients during labor and delivery processes, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for mothers and newborns. This position requires a professional with extensive experience in labor and delivery nursing and postpartum couplet care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the health status of mothers and babies during labor and delivery.
• Provide postpartum couplet care, fostering a supportive environment for new families.
• Administer medications and manage pain relief methods in coordination with the healthcare team.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records as per required standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 3 years of experience as a Labor Delivery Nurse within the last 6 months.
• Postpartum couplet care experience is required.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, and ACLS (certification must not expire within 30 days of start).
• Current NJ or Compact RN License is required (pending licenses are not accepted).
