The position is a variable day/night schedule consisting of two day shifts and one night shift.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist is either registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care to provide cardiopulmonary services. Responsible for following protocols approved by the medical staff and department policies and procedures, the Respiratory Therapist delivers timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas.
• Maintain airways and manage ventilators.
• Perform insertion of arterial lines and intubations.
• Conduct pulmonary function studies and cardiac/pulmonary stress tests.
• Draw and interpret blood gases.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have NBRC RRT certification.
• Minimum of 2 years recent RT experience.
• Experience with pediatrics and OB patients is required.
• Must possess a WY RT license.
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association are mandatory.
