Registered Nurse - PCU (Nights EOW)

This position requires a night schedule, working every other weekend (EOW).

Job Description

A highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) is needed for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on a night shift schedule. The RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient conditions and vital signs regularly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care accurately in clinical systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Float to similar units as needed to provide care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of recent Telemetry RN experience in a busy Level 1 Trauma facility.
• Current New Jersey RN License.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certifications.
• NIHSS certification is also required.
