Registered Nurse - Acute Care and Neuro Stepdown

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Weekend shifts are required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our 10 Tower unit, which encompasses both Acute Care and Neuro Stepdown. The unit is equipped with 30 beds, providing a dynamic workplace with a focus on stroke care and critical patient management. This role will involve a variety of responsibilities that support patient health and recovery in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Primary care for patients in the Acute Care and Neuro Stepdown units.
• Monitor and document patient status using the Meditech documentation system.
• Perform procedures such as lumbar punctures and chest tube placements.
• Collaborate in daily huddles and maintain a personal connection with patients through bedside shift reports.
• Manage critical situations utilizing strong critical thinking and advanced nursing skills.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience in Acute Care and Neuro Stepdown preferred.
• Strong nursing skills, time management, and critical thinking abilities.
