Certified Surgical Technologist

This is a full-time position with an 8-hour evening shift from 11 AM to 7:30 PM. Weekend, call, and holiday shifts are required.

Job Description

The Certified Surgical Technologist will function under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients. The role includes performing routine and delegated duties according to the standards and policies of the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a sterile surgical environment.
• Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning correctly and safely.
• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures.
• Perform technical duties related to scrub personnel, reacting precisely and efficiently to all situations.
• May be asked to precept new staff, depending on experience.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• MUST BE CERTIFIED as a Surgical Technologist.
• Travel experience is required.
• Ortho experience is required.
• Scrubbing experience is required.
• Experience with the Davinci surgical system is required.
• Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program.
• BLS certification is required.
