Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts: 4x12 hours (18:00 - 06:30)

Option of 36 or 48 hours per week; every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure positive patient outcomes. You will be responsible for monitoring, assessment, and management of patients with varying medical and surgical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patients' conditions and vital signs.
• Perform necessary medical procedures and interventions.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and families.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers for comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Familiarity with the Community Hospital Charting System preferred.
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 6:1.
