Surgical Nurse - Cardiovascular, Trauma, and Orthopedic Specialty

Day shift: 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)

Job Description

The Surgical Nurse will provide nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment, floating between multiple hospitals to assist with cardiovascular, trauma, and orthopedic surgical procedures. The candidate will be responsible for scrub and circulating duties, with a focus on high-acuity patient care.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures, including craniotomies, cardiac, liver transplants, and spinal cases.
• Float between Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, Jefferson Methodist Hospital, and Honickman Center as required.
• Maintain patient safety and optimal care standards in a Level 1 Trauma environment.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 3 years of surgical nursing experience, with specific experience in cardiac, liver transplant, craniotomy, and spinal cases.
• Level I Trauma experience and certification required.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications in trauma care preferred.
• Experience with orthopedic fractures is a plus.
• Valid state license and certifications must be provided at the time of submission.
