Registered Nurse - Step Down Unit

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care in a 24-bed telemetry unit. The unit has the capability of accommodating step down patients, ensuring high-quality patient care through effective teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and develop care plans for patients.
• Administer medications and manage patient care effectively.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 3:1 step down during the night shift, with a 5:1 ratio during the day shift and 6:1 ratio at night.
• Engage in team nursing practices to enhance patient care experiences.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other healthcare professionals.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license required.
• Completion of MMR, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB testing.
• Fit Test and Physical/Health Statement are mandatory for onboarding.
• Driver's License or State ID is required.
• Centralus Color Headshot and Agency Background Check must be completed.
