Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights (1900-0730) with every other weekend commitment.

Job Description

The Progressive Care Unit provides direct care or influences care for acutely ill patients who are moderately stable but have an elevated risk for instability. The PCU team offers advanced monitoring, assessments, and interventions through their extensive knowledge and experience in critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to acutely ill patients.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required.
• AHA ACLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Preferred experience in PCU and basic EKG.
• Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required due to CAP requirements for moderate complexity testing.
