Registered Nurse - Oncology

Day Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse provides and supervises nursing care of patients in a compassionate and efficient manner under the direction of a medical oncologist. This role involves coordinating care with other caregivers and adhering to infection control policies. The nurse will work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders in a warm and friendly manner.
• Take and record vital signs and other relevant measurements.
• Assess patient conditions and provide appropriate treatments.
• Administer prescribed medications as per guidelines.
• Lead collaboratively with other caregivers in the unit to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution.
• Current Ohio RN License.
• CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Attention to detail and ability to accurately assess and respond to patient needs.
