Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating all assigned patients, developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans aligned with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role encompasses the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring the creation of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective return to community activities. Additionally, the therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document patient care accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Participate in student education programs, providing supervision and development of learning objectives.
• Create an individualized professional development plan and pursue continued education and professional growth.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain an active professional licensure in good standing.
• Implement performance improvement methodologies to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid and active state physical therapy license.
