Registered Nurse – Wound Care

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Wound Care provides treatment based on an established plan of care for patients with wounds, fistulas, percutaneous tubes, ostomies, incontinence, and skin breakdown. This role serves as a resource and consultant to patients and nursing staff, performing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care provided. The RN will collaborate with the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse (WOCN) to implement changes in the plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment for various types of wounds and skin issues.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize care.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Evaluate and modify care plans based on patient needs.
• Educate patients and nursing staff on wound care and best practices.

Schedule

Days (0730 - 1700), no weekends.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN licensure required upon submission.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required.
• BSN preferred.
• Certification in Wound Care preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months of wound care experience required, with a preference for outpatient wound care clinic experience.
