Electrophysiology Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrophysiology Technologist to join our team in a short-term acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrophysiology and cardiovascular procedures, with the ability to perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and assist in electrophysiology lab cases. This full-time position offers a dynamic working environment with a focus on patient care and advanced medical technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrophysiology procedures, including mapping and ablation.
• Assist in cardiac catheterization procedures, including stenting and placements of pacemakers.
• Conduct baseline measurements and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and nursing staff for optimal patient care.
• Document patient procedures accurately in the Cerner EMR system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Electrophysiology Lab and Cardiac Cath Lab work setting.
• EP procedural experience and cardiac cath lab procedural experience required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Valid Florida licensure or compact license required.
• COVID-19 vaccination required (exemptions accepted if medical or religious).

Schedule

This position requires a day shift schedule, specifically four 10-hour shifts from 06:30 AM to 05:00 PM. The candidate will work EP cases one day per week, with Cath and IR cases the remaining three days.
