Day shift: 5:30 AM to 10:30 PM; rotating Saturdays included.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Dialysis Nurse with outpatient chronic and acute experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in administering dialysis treatments and will exhibit a commitment to patient care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for the administration of blood and blood products, as well as monitoring patients' conditions during treatment.

Responsibilities

• Administer dialysis treatments to patients in an outpatient setting.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing vital signs and addressing any complications.
• Provide patient education on dialysis procedures and care.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards.
• Document patient progress and treatment in the electronic health record (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of dialysis nursing experience required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Current New York State nursing license required in hand at the time of application.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
