Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12.0

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while promoting patient and employee safety through adherence to best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop an individualized plan of care.
• Identify patient teaching needs and goals in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate actively in patient rehabilitation programs and ensure education is prioritized for patients and families.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to support continuity of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies and procedures.
• Assist in maintaining a positive and efficient work environment through team building activities.
• Assume charge responsibility as requested and promote professional growth through continuing education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (specific to CIRH).
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
• ICU experience preferred.

Schedule

This position is for a night shift with a schedule of 3 shifts of 12 hours each per week.
