Registered Nurse - Outpatient Infusion

Shift is from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Description

The Outpatient Infusion Center is dedicated to providing patient care excellence in a comfortable and convenient setting for those requiring frequent infusions of medications. The staff consists of registered nurses who specialize in intravenous therapy, administering various treatments to patients.

Responsibilities

• Administering intravenous (IV) antibiotics, antifungals, and steroids.
• Providing blood and blood product transfusions.
• Maintaining central venous access devices and placing PICC lines.
• Administering hydration therapy and IV immune globulin therapy.
• Conducting educational sessions for self-administration of medications.
• Carrying out therapeutic phlebotomies and specialty medication administration.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion.
• Chemo Certification (ONS) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) required.
• Peripheral IV insertion experience is mandatory.
• Experience with ports, fistulas, and catheters is required.
• IV Certification is highly preferred.
• EPIC experience is required.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
