Labor and Delivery Nurse

Schedule

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 hours scheduled, 24 hours guaranteed, with possible weekend and holiday rotation.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Labor and Delivery Nurse with a minimum of 24 months of recent experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in perinatal care and be familiar with the Cerner system. Candidates must exhibit flexibility with location, shifts, and departments to secure an offer. The position requires adherence to strict background check standards and documentation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
• Monitor maternal and fetal health and respond to changes in conditions.
• Assist with medical procedures and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Cerner.
• Educate patients and families on care and post-delivery instructions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 24 months of Labor and Delivery experience, with recent experience in the last 12 months.
• Current Arizona licensure with no state license hits.
• Life support certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS, and AFM from approved vendors.
• Driver’s License for residency verification.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
