Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12.0

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. This role is pivotal in promoting patient safety and creating a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized plans of care by identifying teaching needs related to patient diagnoses.
• Provide timely patient information for initial and re-evaluation team conferences.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, emphasizing patient and family education.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit function and participate in team-building activities.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for professional growth and development.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
• Charge experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This is a night shift position with a 3x12.0 schedule.
