Endoscopy Technician

Schedule

Four 10-hour shifts per week, from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. This role includes on-call responsibilities Monday through Thursday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Friday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and occasional Saturday, Sunday, and holiday 24-hour call coverage.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician with interventional and therapeutic expertise in procedures such as ERCP, spyglass, endoscopic ultrasound, double balloon enteroscopy, and overstitch/suturing. You will be responsible for the care and safety of patients under your care, ensuring that procedures are carried out smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of the operating room and equipment prior to procedures.
• Assisting with patient preparation and ensuring patient safety throughout the procedure.
• Proper handling and management of instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Anticipating the needs of the physician during endoscopic procedures.
• Collaborating with the registered nurse to ensure high standards of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited school of surgical technology is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a procedural or operating room setting.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
