Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

D/N rotating shift: 7pm-7:30am / 7am-7:30pm. Shifts may vary as needed to meet operational needs of the hospital.

Job Description

As a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients within the Med/Surg Tele unit, with a potential to float to other units as necessary. The role involves comprehensive patient management and support in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients' health conditions.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to implement individualized care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans and outcomes.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in the Med/Surg Tele area.
• A permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license is required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Recent Med/Surg Tele experience is mandatory, travel experience is acceptable.
• Two professional references from a manager or supervisor familiar with your work in the past year.
