Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Night shift: 3 shifts per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees to provide superior patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify and address patient teaching needs related to diagnoses.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in medical records.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs by providing direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and provide teaching in anticipation of discharge.
• Communicate important patient status information to care providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise ancillary nursing personnel and facilitate a safe and efficient work environment.
• Assume charge responsibility as needed after orientation.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
