Registered Nurse - PCU Float Pool

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our PCU Float Pool. This position requires floating to all PCU and IMCU floors with a cardiac population. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:3-4 and will handle various cardiac cases, including STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and chest pain. The role involves administering cardiac drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors. Additionally, the nurse may be assigned to telemetry beds with lower acuity levels when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PCU and IMCU settings.
• Manage and monitor cardiac drips as per physician orders.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care using EPIC EMR accurately and efficiently.
• Float between units as required, adapting to various patient needs and team dynamics.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar-sized facility.
• Active RN license in the applicable state.
• BLS and ACLS certification are required.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred.
