Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room will provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients. The RN will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Monitor patient vitals and reactions to therapeutic interventions.
• Administer medications and perform treatments according to established protocols.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding care plans and health management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2 years of experience in an acute care facility.
• Valid Iowa RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
• TNCC certification.
• MUST clear Iowa background checks including criminal and child abuse portions.
• Mandatory reporter certification for child and adult abuse.
• 10-panel drug screening, including opiates.
• Recent titers for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB (within last 12 months).
