Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position requires a committed professional capable of providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment. The RN will handle various patient diagnoses, including cardiac events, trauma, and more, while following established protocols and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer medications as prescribed.
• Assist in triaging patients and prioritizing care based on condition severity.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
• Perform emergency procedures and respond to critical situations as necessary.
• Document patient care accurately and in compliance with hospital policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department required.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke certifications required.
• CPI, PALS, TNCC certifications preferred.
• Experience with EHR systems, specifically EPIC.

Schedule

This position operates on a Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Additional weekend shifts, as well as holiday coverage, may be required.
