Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for effective return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves while adhering to the organization's Mission Statement and Core Values. They uphold professional standards and compliance expectations, promoting safety for both patients and employees.
Responsibilities
- Complete a comprehensive evaluation of assigned patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients towards discharge.
- Document medical records clearly, concisely, accurately, and in a timely manner in compliance with clinic policies and procedures.
- Participate in student programs, providing supervision and creating a positive learning environment.
- Develop an individualized professional development plan and pursue continuing education and professional growth.
- Maintain professional licensure in good standing and adhere to ethical standards.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives and provide feedback to maximize outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience required.
- CPR certification required.
