Computed Tomography Technologist

Schedule

Evening shift from 10:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Friday to Sunday, with on-call responsibilities every Thursday night and every 8 weekends.

Job Description

We are dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare services and providing an excellent work environment. The Computed Tomography Technologist will perform CT exams with and without contrast, ensure patient safety during procedures, and assist the attending physician as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Utilize automatic exposure control and accurate technical factors (kVp, mA, time, distance).
• Image appropriate body parts, ensuring the correct views are acquired and immobilization techniques are employed.
• Administer contrast media and start IVs as required.
• Use PACS for archiving and ensure effective communication with patients using SBAR and AIDET protocols.
• Conduct patient handling safely, including transport, transfer, and positioning.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
• Act as a mentor to students from affiliated Radiology Technology Programs.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (RT(R)(CT)).
• Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (HCP) certification within three months of hire.
