Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography is responsible for performing routine CT scans and operating imaging equipment according to radiologist protocols. The technologist will work independently without supervision and is expected to contribute effectively in an acute hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine CT scans and advanced imaging procedures.
• Follow radiologist protocols accurately.
• Function independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Assist with procedures such as biopsies, drainages, and vascular or cardiac imaging.
• Utilize Meditech EMR, Canon/Toshiba CT units, and Vitrea workstation, if applicable.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a radiographer.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Computed Tomography.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Experience with venipuncture, MIP, MPR, and 3D imaging is preferred.
• Proof of flu vaccination or approved exception must be provided before contract start date.
