Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality patient care in the Pulmonary & Observation Unit, focusing on adult and geriatric patients with respiratory diagnoses and other medical conditions. The RN will be responsible for managing patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient health status.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy, including titration of drips.
• Perform trach care and manage respiratory equipment (CPAP, BiPAP).
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health system (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Experience in Med-Surg, Telemetry, and critical drips, including trach care and peritoneal dialysis preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience is a must.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, float between units, and perform under pressure.
