Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is accountable for providing high-quality patient care by employing the Nursing Process according to the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The RN will demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership while planning for the safe delivery of care. This role requires maintaining clinical competencies via continuing education, delegating patient care priorities based on available staff expertise, and supervising personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established protocols.
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes appropriately.
• Educate patients and families on health management and treatments.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Missouri RN or multi-state RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications (must be attached to the resume).
• Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy care.
• Prior experience in a critical care environment preferred.
