Schedule

Varied 12-hour shifts: 3 shifts per week (2 days, 1 night) totaling 36 hours.

Job Description

This role requires an urgent backfill, so immediate availability is needed. The Registered Nurse (RN) will demonstrate clinical competence by utilizing the nursing process, assessing, identifying, and addressing patient needs in the Labor and Delivery setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patient problems/needs
• Establish and implement care plans
• Provide pre/post care and discharge planning
• Manage high-risk pregnancy cases, including preterm labor, high blood pressure, diabetes, and VBAC
• Conduct prenatal testing and amniocentesis
• Facilitate childbirth education classes

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of recent Labor Delivery / OB experience (REQUIRED)
• Fetal Monitoring experience (REQUIRED)
• Previous travel experience (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
• Current BLS (AHA), AWHONN, NRP certifications (REQUIRED)
• Active RN license in the state of practice
• Signed supervisory reference from the past year (REQUIRED)
• Labor Delivery skills checklist completed within the past year (REQUIRED)
