Schedule

Shifts availability includes 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM on Monday, Thursday, and Friday or 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Operating Room with a strong background in neurosurgery. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing complex surgical cases, particularly in spine and brain surgery, and will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a busy surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the Operating Room environment.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare staff.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond appropriately to changes.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation in accordance with hospital policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• At least 2 years of Operating Room experience in an acute care setting
• Experience in neurosurgery, including procedures such as craniotomies
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
