Laboratory Medical Technologist

Job Description

The Laboratory Medical Technologist performs assigned analysis and reports results according to established procedures and regulations. The role also includes maintaining quality control and equipment as per instructions and schedule. This position requires correlating laboratory results with clinical findings through chart review and consultation with nursing and medical staff, as well as performing receptionist and phlebotomist tasks while ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal laws governing healthcare provision.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analysis and report results according to departmental procedures.
• Maintain quality control and ensure optimal operation of laboratory equipment.
• Review charts and consult with nursing and medical staff to correlate laboratory results with clinical findings.
• Carry out receptionist duties and phlebotomist tasks as needed.
• Adhere to all applicable state and federal laws and regulations related to healthcare.

Schedule

This position requires three 12-hour shifts weekly, encompassing both day and evening shifts.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
