Vascular Access Team Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights), primarily days with flexibility to rotate to nights as needed. Every other weekend required.

Job Description

Seeking a Vascular Access Team Registered Nurse for a critical role in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong IV skills and experience in ultrasound-guided vascular access. Flexibility is essential to meet staffing needs, including the possibility of mid-week rotations.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage vascular access devices including PICC lines and peripheral IVs.
• Perform dressing changes and administer therapeutics as needed.
• Provide support in troubleshooting PIV and PICC lines, ports, and associated procedures.
• Maintain documentation and compliance with facility protocols.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Vascular Access or related specialty.
• Must have IV ultrasound guidance experience and strong IV skills.
• IVA Certification and PICC skills preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale preferred.
• Must have experience in a large trauma level 1 facility within the last year.
• Epic experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable.
