Registered Nurse (RN) - 3x12 Day Shift

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while actively promoting a safe environment for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Collaborate with patients/families and the interdisciplinary team to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Provide timely patient information during Initial and Re-evaluation Team Conferences.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel to foster effective teamwork.
• Maintain a safe environment according to hospital and nursing policies.
• Assume charge responsibilities and lead team-building activities within the unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (for specific facility only).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

This position is for a 3x12 day shift.
