CT Tech - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 17:45 to 06:15, with self-scheduling based on seniority. Must be open to all shift times, including weekends.

Job Description

The CT Tech provides high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient comfort and safety. This role involves performing various CT procedures, including abdominal scans, chest scans, and emergency procedures, regularly collaborating with other medical staff. This busy department prioritizes efficient patient care, especially in a high-volume setting that serves as a primary stroke receiving center.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans for a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Administer contrast media as necessary and ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols.
• Assist in maintaining departmental workflow and support ED patients as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Document procedures accurately in the facility’s charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Tech.
• Certifications: BLS, ARRT (CT or R), CA CRT.
• Proven competency in various CT imaging techniques.
• Prior hospital experience and familiarity with Epic charting system preferred.
