Acute Care Occupational Therapist (OT)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, working 5 days a week from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Acute Care Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in an acute care setting. The primary focus will be on assessments for Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and upper extremity functionality, addressing a variety of diagnoses such as general surgery, orthopedic surgery, hip fractures, dementia, and other conditions affecting ADLs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ functional abilities.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans to enhance patients' quality of life.
• Utilize adaptive equipment and therapy techniques to facilitate recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care setting.
• BLS certification is required.
• Valid state license in California is mandatory.
• First-timers are accepted, but prior experience is preferred.
