Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with floating and call required.

Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) is responsible for providing critical care in the Emergency Department. This role involves utilizing the nursing process in compliance with state regulations and hospital policies. The RN will demonstrate sound judgement and leadership in patient care delivery while maintaining clinical competencies through continued education and practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments and communicate findings effectively.
• Administer medications and monitor side effects.
• Maintain safety standards and infection control protocols.
• Delegate patient care priorities according to team members' qualifications.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent ER nursing experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications are mandatory.
• NRP certification is preferred.
• Active RN license and compliance with fingerprint requirements in New Mexico.
