Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required, floating may be necessary.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Med Surg RN to provide high-quality patient care in a general medical-surgical unit, including post-operative orthopedic and general surgery cases. The role may require occasional floating to the ICU for step-down assignments, primarily handling overflow patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the Med Surg unit.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and well-being.
• Assist in the post-operative recovery of patients.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ years of Med Surg RN experience required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• New Mexico RN license required (fingerprinting mandatory for all NM travelers).
