Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry (Nights)

Schedule

This position requires working 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. 36 and 48 hours per week are available, with a requirement for at least one weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other week.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Telemetry unit. This unit features 37 beds dedicated to complex care, making it an exciting and dynamic environment for nursing professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
• Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications as required.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on health and wellness.
• Float to other units as needed, maintaining flexibility with facility demands.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in acute Med/Surg/Telemetry nursing.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active New York Registered Nurse license.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
