Job Description

The Surgical First Assistant will play a vital role in the cardiac surgery unit, providing essential support during operations. This position requires proficiency in Endoscopic Vein Harvest and Open Heart procedures. The candidate will work within a team of skilled professionals in a high-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Endoscopic Vein Harvest using either Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro.
• Provide Open Heart First Assist during various surgical procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, and thoracic surgery.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 2 years of independent Endoscopic Vein Harvest experience.
• At least 2 years of Open Heart First Assist experience.
• Required certifications: CSFA, CFA, or SA-C.
