Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Every Other Weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in an Eastern NM facility. This role involves working in a General Med Surg Unit, with occasional floating to ICU to manage Medical-Surgical overflow or Step Down patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Med Surg setting.
• Manage post-operative orthopedic and general surgery patients.
• Occasionally float to ICU to take on Step Down assignments as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems including Cerner and Mindray Telemetry.
• Adhere to patient care protocols and safety standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Med Surg RN.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• Must have a valid RN license for the state of New Mexico; fingerprinting is required for all NM travelers.
