Job Description

The Assistant Manager for the Sterile Processing Department plays a crucial role in ensuring the sterile processing functions operate effectively and efficiently. This individual will oversee staff, manage departmental operations, and maintain high standards of quality and compliance within the sterile processing environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain flow of sterile instruments.
• Implement and monitor policies and procedures related to sterile processing.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Experience in a Sterile Processing Department.
• Managerial experience required.
• Certification in sterile processing is mandatory.
• BLS Certification is required.

Schedule

This position requires an 8-hour evening shift, guaranteeing 37.5 hours per week.
