ICU/PCU/Tele Float Unit Registered Nurse

Schedule

This position requires 3×12 hour shifts per week, with a schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Every other weekend and holiday availability is required, along with floating to Hampden as needed.

Job Description

The ICU/PCU/Tele Float Unit Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients within the intensive care, progressive care, and telemetry units. This role requires a commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care during their stay.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor and assess patients’ critical conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide optimal patient care
• Document patient care activities per established protocols
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and recovery processes
• Float between units to meet staffing needs as directed

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or Compact State
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Fingerprinting required upon onboarding

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position, with specific time off restrictions due to a hospital system-wide Epic implementation from September 1, 2026, to November 15, 2026.
