Job Description

The Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (MICU) is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery.
• Collect and analyze patient health data to determine problems and expected outcomes.
• Develop a comprehensive plan of care and implement interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Evaluate patient progress and modify care as necessary.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education regarding illness and injury prevention.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
• Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel as compliant with the Board of Nursing.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of intensive care unit nursing experience preferred.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required at the time of submission.
• Valid RN license (Oklahoma or Compact) required at the time of submission.
