Orthopedic Surgical Nurse

Schedule

This position is for 10-hour shifts, working four days a week from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. One weekend on-call shift per month is required for a total of 36 hours, with 24 hours on Saturday and 12 hours on Sunday.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgical Nurse with a minimum of 3 years of experience in scrubbing and circulating, specifically with orthopedic spine, robots, and trauma patients. The candidate must be adaptable, skilled, and committed to providing exceptional patient care in the operating room setting.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate during orthopedic surgeries.
• Work collaboratively with surgical teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes during surgery.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 3 years of experience in orthopedic surgery.
• Current New Jersey nursing licensure.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National certification in area of specialty is preferred.
